As young boys, we are taught to man up or ignore our emotions. Whether it be from television, teachers, family or other influences in society. This leads us to hold on to emotions such as resentment and anger. As a result, we end up placing ourselves into situations that do us harm. In this book, I discuss where my anger started and how it manifested into a mindset of seeking revenge and proving people wrong later on in my life. I will teach you as the reader lessons that I gathered from the choices I made. My greatest desire is for others to learn from my life experiences. In a climate where many men don't feel they know how to navigate their emotions in this life, I wanted to share my perspective about how I grew up angry because of how I felt towards my dad's wife. This book was created to give real life lessons and examples to help boys and men deal with their emotions they may feel are uncomfortable or unnecessary. Most importantly, I want you to learn how to "control your anger or else it will control you." Follow me on: Instagram @authorjohno and TikTok: johno873

Most of us were handed a map for love that leads straight into a dead end. We were raised on a steady diet of 90s R&B music videos and Disney fairytales, programmed to believe that "The One" would descend from heaven and make our problems vanish. In this raw, no-holds-barred reality check, John Freeman-Oliver exposes why the version of "love" society has been selling us is a total crock of horse shit.
This isn't a book about being a cynic—it's about becoming logical. Through a combination of personal "scars," hard-earned wisdom, and a brutal "Stress Test" of 25 questions, Oliver deconstructs the mirages that keep us magnetically attracted to people who mean us no good.
Inside this manual for the "Great Unlearning," you will discover:
"Being In Love Is A Crock Of Horse Shit" is a call to action to stop being the "sheep" led to the slaughter of stress and migraines. It’s time to hop out of the boiling pot, burn the old dictionary, and join the "Pack of Wolves" who have reclaimed their time, their effort, and their purpose.
Stop running on the treadmill. Start living your reality.

We are currently living through a crisis of "Grown-Ass Children"—men and women who possess the age, legal identification, and physical anatomy of an adult, but retain the spirit of a spoiled toddler. In this blunt and necessary wake-up call, John pulls back the curtain on a world that has traded character for convenience and discipline for tantrums.
Through twenty chapters of raw observation and actionable solutions, John addresses the maturity gap in every corner of modern life, including:
This isn't just a book about manners; it’s a manual for radical responsibility. Whether you are struggling with "yo-yo" consistency, inherited fears, or a "Savior Complex," John provides clear protocols to help you lower your heart rate, silence the noise, and lead by example.
"Grown-Ass Children" is a roadmap back to your authentic self. It is time to put away the toys, stop the screaming, and realize that your legacy is waiting on the other side of your maturity.
It’s time to stop being a child and start being a legend.
